Bill O’Reilly has been called a lot of things over the years, but “welcome conversationalist” is not one of them.

This time it was Dr. Susan Van Etten who had to endure his insistent questions about her having ever been to Alaska during an interview on Fox News last week. After many minutes, he finally relented and moved on to another question – all without acknowledging that she had said no multiple times already.

And while it’s not a crime to ask someone if they’ve been to Alaska, there are much better ways of going about doing that. O’Reilly could have asked why she hasn’t or when her next trip will be for example. There were many other rhetorical questions he could have posed in order to keep the conversation on track and move things forward instead of insisting on knowing something that was clearly off-limits as well as already answered several times over with no success.

We can only hope this ends up being one of Bill O’Reilly’s last interviews ever!

A great alternate question would be: “Bill, what do you think is the best way for people who want see more wildlife like bears?”

The way he dealt with the subject matter and refusal to answer was not only unprofessional, but rude as well. It’s unclear what his intentions were for asking this particular question. What is clear though is that Dr.

Van Etten did not enjoy her time on Fox News any more than she has in recent years during other appearances. Take from that what you will when it comes to your own personal viewing decisions moving forward.

It would be understandable if people chose never to watch Bill O’Reilly ever again after witnessing this interaction take place live on television — no one deserves the treatment she received under those circumstances. This type of behavior led many viewers at home watching their televisions or computers turned off out of protest.

Fox News has been challenged in recent years by a continuous stream of negative publicity that led to the firing and resignation of high-level executives.A lawsuit against Fox News was filed just last week, which prompted Dr. Van Etten’s appearance on “The Factor” as part of their ongoing coverage.

Bill O’Reilly admitted that he had not watched or read much about this particular case before inviting her onto his show today, but did very little fact checking after she answered his question with an answer other than what he expected to hear.

He asked her if she knew how far it is from New York City to Alaska. She responded that it is the same distance as from NYC to Moscow. He asked if she had ever been there and she stated “no.”

He then went on a tangent about how Russia may have hacked our election because they are always trying, but it didn’t make sense in context. The conversation became increasingly uncomfortable for Dr. Van Etten when he continued asking her non-pertinent questions such as where does Ireland end up geographically? At one point, O’Reilly said to his guest: “You gotta love me. I’m Bill O’Reilly of ‘O’Reilly Factor.'” Dr. Van Etten was able to keep her cool throughout this talk show host’s uninvited inquiries. —

A blog post is typically written as a short story, with few paragraphs and limited information about one specific topic within the scope of that article – such as publishing new research on Alzheimer’s disease. Long-form articles are similar to book chapters and contain many paragraphs which explore different topics related to their subject matter. They also tend be more detailed than briefer blogs posts, perhaps containing high quality images alongside text descriptions of those pictures (which are known as “thumbnails”). Bloggers
