It’s that time of year again, and the pressure to find an amazing gift for someone you care about is getting overwhelming.

You have a few weeks left before Christmas and you’re struggling to come up with something different. The following gifts are not only unique but will also help start meaningful conversations between friends or family members as they wait in line at Starbucks or while taking a walk together.

A Basket of Kindness: this gift is perfect for those who want to start being kinder and more thoughtful towards others. Fill a basket with small notes on kindness, but also include an ice scraper, hand warmer packets (for the winter weather,) or even some emergency chocolate bars just in case! This will be a great way to remind someone that they should keep up their positive actions throughout the rest of the year.

Kind Words Jar: fill a mason jar with quotes from friends, family members, celebrities etc., all about how amazing you are and why people care so much about you. If space allows add pictures as well as words for encouragement. The person receiving this gift can read it whenever they need to be reminded of how awesome and loved they are.

Gift Cards: who doesn’t love the gift card? This might seem impersonal, but to me it shows that you put in some thought into your shopping experience for them! There is no guessing what this person will like or not enjoy with a gift card because it’s all up to their personal preference. Gift cards can range from places such as Amazon, Walmart, Sephora (for makeup lovers,) iTunes etc., so there really isn’t anything better than having someone personally pick out something for you when you just cannot decide on one thing!

As always thank you for reading and I hope these ideas were helpful 🙂 Happy holidays!!

Homemade Greeting Cards: When I was younger, my mom used to make homemade greeting cards and give them to me on Valentine’s Day.

For those of you who are creative like that but don’t have a lot of time or know what the person likes yet, there is always the option of making your own card with paper from the dollar store! The key here is adding handwritten messages inside each one so then it becomes an even more unique present for someone special in your life. Gift Bags/Handmade Wrapping Paper: Another thing I like to do for my friends is buy each of them a gift bag from the dollar store or make some homemade wrapping paper with markers and cardstock. This way, it becomes more personal than just buying something in a box at any given time during December!

Volunteering: Another great idea that I have found is volunteering at somewhere close by. The bonus here is not only does someone get a good deed but also you may be able to help out your friend who needs help around their house too! If you are looking for ideas on places where people can volunteer, there’s always Habitat for Humanity as they take donations and will often need helpers when building houses.

Personalize Your Own Christmas Present!: As a creative and crafty person, I like to make my own gifts. My family knows what they will be getting from me each year because they know it is something that I have worked hard on making for them!

Cooking Together: Cooking together with a friend can really bring you closer in the holiday season. It’s not just about cooking but also spending time together catching up or talking about life going on around us throughout the day. One of my favorite memories this past summer was when we went apple picking and then came home to cook an Apple Pie topped with Sweetened Cream Cheese Topping made by yours truly!

Paint Your Own Ornament!: Painting your own ornament doesn’t need to take long–it can be as little as 15 minutes.

It’s a great activity to do with friends over coffee or cider, and it will give you something for your tree that is uniquely yours!

Create A Wish Jar: One of my favorite things about Christmas morning is the feeling of anticipation before opening presents under the tree. We love making our own “wish jars” where we place slips of paper inside with everyone writing down their wishes on them–from personal to world peace! These are placed in a jar until December 24th when they’re all drawn out one at time and made into reality–plus there can never be too many good wishes coming true this season!

Make Gift Baskets: I enjoy buying items from local stores that I can put together in little gift baskets for friends and family. It’s a fun thing to do with kids, too! You can get whatever you want from the store–from food items like nuts or jams (perfect for holiday gifting!) to small stationery supplies like pens and paper clips for co-workers who are always working on your behalf. Handmade Gifts: When it comes down to it, we’re all about being thoughtful around this time of year when giving gifts is so important. That means finding a creative way to give someone something that they’ll cherish forever–whether that be an embroidered hand towel as their new kitchen staple or some old photographs lovingly recovered into frames perfect for any room in the house! -Customized Gifts: One of the best ways to make a gift that’s so meaningful is by customizing it with something sentimental. Think about who you’re giving the gift, and what they’ll love most! Are they always carrying their coffee around in an old mug? Why not get them one engraved just for them–they can even choose from any color or pattern imaginable, because we’ve got a selection that won’t disappoint (ever)! If someone loves to bake, why not buy them some specially designed baking pans or cups? It doesn’t have to be anything crazy expensive–it could be as simple as having their favorite drink delivered each day until Christmas arrives. The holidays are all about making memories with people we care deeply
